Noosha Uddin

Hello! I am a Ph.D candidate in political science at University of California, Santa Barbara. My research interests include labor migration, citizenship, and energy politics in the Persian Gulf, and my dissertation examines the politics of South Asian sending states and migrant worker returnees within the kafala guest worker-sponsorship system. I am also a member of the Energy Governance and Political Economy Lab (EGAPE) at UCSB as part of the institution’s 2035 Initiative, and an adjunct researcher at the RAND Corporation. Prior to UCSB I studied political science and economics with a minor in Mandarin at UMass Amherst.

You can reach me at my email, noosha@ucsb.edu. Here are my CV, publications, books I’ve read, and some photos I’ve taken throughout the years.
